“I would ask for our community’s hearts to go out as I know they will and for their prayers for the families of everybody that’s involved here,” Boise Police Chief Bill Bones said.

Police in Boise, ID on Sunday arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to a stabbing attack at an apartment complex that housed resettled refugees, Boise State Public Radio reports.

6 children and 3 adults were hospitalized Saturday night after a mass stabbing police say is “the  single most severe attack in the city’s history,” Boise State Public Radio reports. Four of the victims are being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Timmy Kinner, originally from Los Angeles, CA, was charged with aggravated battery and injury to a child. According to police, Kinner was living at the apartment complex, but was asked to leave Friday. He allegedly returned Saturday evening to carry out the attack.

Boise Police Chief Bill Bones told Boise State Public Radio the attack is not indicative of the Boise community at large.

“As you can imagine, the Wylie Street apartment and our community is reeling from this attack,” Bones said. “It’s not a symbol or a representation of our community of Boise, but it’s a single, evil individual who attacked people with no provocation that we’re aware of.”

“I would ask for our community’s hearts to go out as I know they will and for their prayers for the families of everybody that’s involved here,” Bones added.
